The European Commission welcomes the provisional political agreement reached by the European Parliament and the Council on a targeted amendment to strengthen the Market Stability Reserve (MSR) of the EU's Emissions Trading System (EU ETS).

On 19 October 2026, the European Commission selected 77 European net-zero technology projects to receive funding support worth €3.4 billion under the call of the Innovation Fund, launched in December 2025.
