Today at COP28, Executive Vice President Maroš Šefčovič and representative of the President of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a Forest Partnership with Honduras to contribute to the external dimension of the European Green Deal.

EU leads global initiative at COP28 to triple renewable energy capacity and double energy efficiency measures by 2030
Commission President von der Leyen presented new global targets to triple the installed capacity of renewable energy to at least 11 terawatts and to double the rate of global energy efficiency improvements from roughly 2% to an annual figure of 4%, by 2030.
