Training Session on the ‘Non-CO₂ Monitoring Plan Template’

The European Commission reaffirmed its leading role in addressing the non-CO₂ effects of aviation by launching a series of training sessions starting on 9 December 2024. These sessions aim to prepare stakeholders for the mandatory Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) requirements set to take effect on 1 January 2025.

The training session on non-CO₂ Monitoring Plan, brought together over 200 participants, including aircraft operators, accredited verifiers, airline associations, and other interested parties. During the event, the Commission presented the draft Monitoring Plan, outlined the MRV data requirements, and introduced scenarios for data verification.

A similar session was held on Thursday, 12 December 2024, from 16:30-18:30 (CET) to accommodate stakeholders in other time zones.
