The Joint Committee under the EU and Swiss Linking Agreement agreed on the 2025 arrangements for the transfers of emission allowances between the registries of the EU Emissions Trading System and the Swiss Emissions Trading System.

At the COP29 UN Climate Change Conference in Baku, the European Commission and EU Member States took the lead in brokering a deal to align global financial flows with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
