Funding to reduce F-gas emissions

Opportunities for EU funding to support F-gas reduction initiatives.

Funding opportunities

The EU offers different kinds of funding to support of initiatives to reduce the use and, consequently, the emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases). The simplest way to learn more is to consult the EU Funding and Tenders Portal. This central platform allows stakeholders to explore funding opportunities, procurement options, and partnership possibilities under the oversight of the European Commission and other EU bodies.

On the EU Funding and Tenders Portal, you can look for:

  • Calls for Proposals: Discover open calls for project proposals relevant to the F-gas sector.
  • Tendering Opportunities: Engage with tender processes to offer services or goods.
  • Collaboration: Seek and connect with partners for collaborative projects.
  • Expert Registration: Register to contribute expertise to EU initiatives and gain access to detailed application guidance.

Support Action on Heat Pumps

Focuses on boosting heat pump deployment through research consultancy services, addressing manufacturing scale-up, technical improvements, and refrigerant transitions under the REpowerEU Plan. Find out more about this support action.

LIFE Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation

As part of the LIFE Programme, this initiative supports European projects fostering a climate-neutral and resilient society. The initiative covers the following areas:

Climate change mitigationReducing greenhouse gas emissions (incl. F-gases)
Climate change adaptationIncreasing resilience to climate change
Climate change governance and informationIncreasing awareness, cooperation and dissemination on climate change mitigation

Funding is made available through grants for (1) traditional, (2) integrated and preparatory projects and (3) non-profit organisations' operations.
