Innovative low-carbon technologies are vital for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and ensuring a healthy environment for the next generations. However, promising technologies often fail to reach the market due to a lack of resources to demonstrate their capabilities on a large scale.

The EU will therefore invest a part of the revenues from the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) into low-carbon technology demonstration projects, through a new Innovation Fund.

Have your say on the design of this fund and help shape the future of low-carbon technology innovation in Europe! The online consultation will run for 12 weeks, closing on 10 April 2018.
