The European Commission will undertake some necessary maintenance on the Union registry next week. This will require a temporary suspension of access to the registry.

The precise timetable is as follows:

  • Suspension of access to the Union registry at 18:00 CET on Monday, 4 March 2013;
  • Resumption of operations in the Union registry at 09:00 CET on Tuesday, 5 March 2013.

The update will allow annual reporting obligations to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to be fulfilled. This is the first time that such reporting takes place using data from the Union registry.
