Description
Dear all,
We are glad to invite you to the first stakeholder consultation workshop on the design of a new auction for industrial process heat decarbonisation under the Innovation Fund. As announced in the Clean Industrial Deal communication, this new auction is scheduled for 2025.
The workshop will take place on 16 April 2025 from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm in Brussels and via Webex (hybrid format).
The proposed new auction will support projects across various economic sectors that decarbonize industrial process heat through innovative technologies such as heat pumps, electric boilers, furnaces, induction, resistance or plasma heating and much more. The budget of up to EUR 1 billion will be allocated through fixed-premium auctions. During the Workshop, first ideas for the auction scope and design will be presented and discussed with stakeholders.
A discussion paper will be circulated before the event to help structure the conversation on the day. We are looking forward to engage with you to ensure relevance and fit of the instrument’s design for industry.
You can find the draft agenda for the event attached. We count on your support in forwarding this invitation and registration link broadly within your network.
In-person places for the workshop will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Online participation is unlimited upon registration and the event will be recorded.
You can register here. Registrations for in-person participation will close once the room capacity has been reached, while registration for online participation will stay open until 15 April.
Yours sincerely,
The Innovation Fund Team
