Monitoring, reporting, and verifying non-CO₂ effects in aviation

On Friday, 1 December, the European Commission, supported by the consortium of To70, the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), and AerLabs, hosted an event to consult stakeholders and the public on the objectives, scope, and initial steps toward establishing a monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) system for non-CO₂ effects in aviation.

The event had two primary goals: firstly, to inform all participants about the project's background, scope, and initial results; secondly, to enable them to ask questions and provide input on the MRV framework within the project's scope.

Attended by over 170 participants representing a diverse range of stakeholders, this event proved to be a successful exercise by emphasising both interest in the topic and a shared desire for collaboration.
