Access to the Union registry will be suspended on Thursday 20 March 2014 between 08:00 CET and 12:00 CET to undertake a software upgrade.
This new version of the software also takes into account the provision in legislation on aviation emissions provisionally agreed by the European Parliament and Council negotiators earlier this week, that 2013 aviation emissions are required to be reported only by 31 March 2015 and corresponding allowances surrendered by 30 April 2015. This is subject to final confirmation by the European Parliament and the Council. The software release therefore ensures that aircraft operator holding accounts will not be blocked if 2013 emissions are not recorded in the Union registry by 31 March 2014.
In the unlikely event of any changes to the schedule of the Union registry downtime, updated information will be communicated on this website.
