Around 40,000 runners will take part in this year's '20km of Brussels' race on Sunday 28 May – and among them will be many staff members from the European Union institutions.

The 38th edition of the 20km of Brussels will begin at 10.00 on Sunday, starting from the iconic Cinquentenaire Park and following its traditional route through beautiful parks and past various Brussels landmarks.

The EU runners will be sporting a blue t-shirt with the message "Burn carbs not carbon", to raise awareness about climate change. There will also be an EU stand in Cinquentenaire Park focusing on how the EU is taking climate action, how investing in clean energy also improves the lives of European citizens and how everyone can reduce their own climate impact.
