On 25 June the European Commission will host a panel of experts to discuss technical aspects of the proposed EU ETS market stability reserve.

Since the Commission made its legislative proposal in January, the market stability reserve has been discussed in a Council Working Group, examined by a range of analysts and discussed in a number of forums.

The aim of the expert meeting is to bring together this analysis and expert opinions, discuss technical issues relating to the design parameters of the reserve and take stock of expected market impacts of the proposal.

As well as a range of market analysts, the panel will comprise experts from different stakeholder groups, including industry, the power sector, research and non-governmental organisations.

Participation in the event is by invitation only but the meeting will be web-streamed. Further details will be announced in due course.
