The European Commission has requested Austria, Cyprus, Hungary, Ireland, Sweden and Slovenia to adopt the necessary measures to fully transpose the EU Directive on the geological storage of CO2 into their national law.

The Member States concerned are Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Estonia, Greece, Finland, Luxembourg, Latvia and the United Kingdom.
