Description
This debate, organised by the European Commission, the ACP Secretariat and the Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA+), aims to look at the role of women in climate change policy making and the rights of women in climate action.
Women's knowledge, experiences and skills, as well as the support of their empowerment, are fundamental ingredients in fighting climate change and building climate resilience.
This session will discuss the challenges and opportunities for women's active participation in climate change action, in order to highlight concrete examples of how women's voices and rights can be considered when defining climate policies.
The debate will be held at the European Development Days taking place on 5-6 June in Brussels.
