The meeting was held to announce the results of the preliminary carbon leakage calculations for the next phase of the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) to stakeholders and to explain the methodology for the first-level quantitative assessment, elements of the carbon leakage indicator and sector eligibilities for the second-level assessments.
Over 100 participants from Member States, business and industry, trade unions, NGOs and think tanks attended and contributed to the discussion.
