<p>On 26 March the Directorate-General for Climate Action of the European Commission held two events on "incentives and safeguards for climate friendly investments in the next MFF": an expert workshop during the day on DG CLIMA premises, and a short seminar in the evening, hosted by Jutta Haug, Member of the European Parliament</p>

Both events gathered stakeholders and experts from the European Parliament, Member States, think-tanks and civil society, as well as representatives of the financial sector and Commission services.
Recommendations of two studies on the use of financial instruments for climate action in the next MFF, on policy and practices of international financial institutions for mainstreaming climate change objectives, and climate proofing of infrastructures, were under discussion. Moreover, current and future practice in Structural Funds, Connecting Europe Facility, by the EIB and by other stakeholder were presented.
