Expert group on carbon removals: carbon farming workshop

On 21 and 22 June 2023, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action will host a carbon farming workshop for members of its expert group on carbon removals.

This two-day workshop aims to provide valuable input into the review of existing carbon farming methodologies as well as scoping of future innovations, opportunities and challenges in this area. The input gathered during this meeting will contribute to the drafting of scoping papers on agriculture, forestry, and peatlands that will serve as the foundation for future certification methodologies for carbon farming.
