Description
The EU Covenant of Mayors is part of the world's largest movement for local climate and energy actions, bringing together more than 9,000 local and regional authorities across the EU and beyond that are committed to taking the actions to reach their climate and energy objectives.
On 22 February, the Covenant will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a ceremony taking place at the European Parliament in Brussels.
Covenant members will be joined by European Commission Vice-President for the Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič and European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete.
The EU Covenant of Mayors 2018 Ceremony is organised by the European Commission and the Covenant of Mayors Office, in close cooperation with the European Parliament and the European Committee of the Regions.
