Why we are consulting
Roadmap for a low carbon economy by 2050
All European citizens, organized stakeholders, industries, institutions, NGOs and public authorities of Member States are welcome to contribute to this consultation.

|Objective of the consultation|
The objective of this consultation is to collect opinions on the pathway to a low carbon economy.
|How to submit your contribution|
In the interests of transparency, the Commission asks organisations who wish to submit comments in the context of public consultations to provide the Commission and the public at large with information about whom and what they represent by registering in the Register of interest representatives and subscribing to its Code of Conduct. If an organisation decides not to provide this information, it is the Commission's stated policy to list the contribution as part of the individual contributions. In total, 281 responses have been submitted to this public consultation. In addition, position papers and responses have been received via email, including 7 answers to the questionnaire which should have been delivered via the online consultation. These 7 answers have been manually added to the responses of the questionnaire, which resulted in 288 evaluated responses (132 citizens and 156 organized stakeholders).
