Grants are direct financial contributions to support a specific action or project that helps further EU policies. The European Commission advertises grant opportunities through calls for proposals.

Information on upcoming calls is published in the annual work programme of the Directorate-General for Climate Action, including the objectives, schedule, indicative amount, expected results, and the essential criteria to be used to select the proposals.

Proposals can only be submitted after the call is published. The call includes all the information needed to submit a proposal.
